Match report

Theologians were up next in our 9th game in 21 days.
We starter brightly and were well on top, Craig George had the first chance of the game after five minutes. Derek Yeats with a superb ball to Craig, but his shot was just wide.
Craig then had the ball in the back of the net on ten minutes, but was harshly ruled out for offside.
The opening goal eventually came after 25 minutes. Terry Johnston with a superb cross to Yeats who superbly controlled on his chest and laid into the path of Thomas Simmers. Thomas composed himself and fired past the keeper 1-0
It was soon two, Yeats causing problems in the box again and Theo’s clearance dropped to Kyle Jaques on the edge of the box. He controlled on his chest and struck a beautiful half volley into the top corner for his first goal in a Rattrays shirt.
We were very unlucky not to have a third before the break, a corner was swung into the box and Terry Johnston’s shot rattled the crossbar.
Half Time (2-0)
We never really started the second half and Theo’s looked like a completely different team and was causing problems.
They almost pulled a goal back from a free kick, but the strike from 30 yards was just inches past the post.
The points were secured half way through the second half, a brilliant through ball from Yeats found Craig George who took it past a defender and fired low into the bottom corner 3-0
Theo’s pulled a goal back when a long punt down the middle from the goal keeper found its way through and their striker ran onto it, firing high into the roof of the net 3-1
With minutes to go on the clock, substitute Dean Brady made it four. Yeats passed to Michael Frost down the wing and he squared the ball to Brady in the box who flicked it over the keeper.
Full Time (4-1)
