Match report

Rattrays had BSFC in their penultimate away league fixture this season at Balgownie.
We started brightly but had no real chances in the opening 20 minutes to trouble the keeper.
With 25 minutes gone Craig George should have opened the scoring. A delightful ball from Chris Smith had put Craig one on one with the keeper but his shot from inside the box sailed over the bar.
5 minutes later we had another great chance. Terry Johnston with a superb ball over the top but Craig’s shot across the keeper just went inches past the post.
With minutes to go before half time Stevie Strachan made a blistering run to the by-line and crossed superbly to Michael Frost, but again it went inches past the post.
Half Time (0-0)
Within 10 minutes of the re-start we were gifted the opening goal. BSFC’s keeper somehow let the ball slip out of his hands. Terry Johnston was in the right place at the right time and could not believe his luck as he tapped into the empty net 1-0
BSFC had their first real chance of the game when a corner was whipped in. But as their striker headed towards goal Derek McKenzie somehow managed to keep it out with a World class save that David de Gea would have been proud of.
As BSFC pushed to find an equalizer Derek Yeats doubled our lead. A lovely weighted pass from Shaun Matheson found Derek on the half way line and he raced through on goal and calmly slotted past the keeper 2-0
Full Time (2-0)
